I just read a well writtten poem by a girl in 8th grade in a school in Maryland. Her poem is called The Mask. This poem is somethig that I can relate to and think it’s something that everybody had done.

Blog for Darfur day was amazing. We had over 600 comment about why we should help Darfur. this is just a taste of what a small group of people can do to change the world. After those two days people have writing comments about what we have done all over the internet. the internet is a great way to spread awareness around the world, because everybody is on the internet. I was very satisfied with this success but I’m hoping next we will have triple the amount of comments left at manyvoicesdarfur.blogspot.com. ad see for your self what we have done.

Darfur comment

Every day thousands are dead, millions forced to leave their homes and too many raped to be counted. What are you doing to help? It is our global responsibility to help put a stop to the genocide in
Darfur. We are here taking things for grated with thinking of the other people that are dying and that would dream to have the things we hate. Since the Sudanese government is not taking responsibility, that leaves us to do something about it. Please help raise awareness to show to the world that we do care and that we’re doing something about it. It started in the early year of 2003,When groups thought that the government was not giving them any money from the oil. so the Sudanese government sent out the Janjaweed to destroy the rebels. By the time that they got there the rebels were gone , so not knowing between the innocent and the rebels they killed everyone. After supporting the Janjaweed and arming them with guns, vehicles, aircrafts and bombs the government denies that they were involved with the Janjaweed or anything that is going on in their own country. now the Janjaweed are just going into villages and killing , burning huts raping girls with out mercy.

Reading about it my be one thing but doing something, anything that will help these people in need will make a big differences. You can start by informing people about the genocide let them know that we can be the solution. Go to save Darfur.com and learn more. My favorite post from the past would have to be the one about Bongo and the magical balloons because it waws cool that I could put my class on the internet and leave comments on it. Using the blogs in calss instead of paper and pencils is more interesting to use

Exploding walls project ‘08

This year in our 8th grade class is starting a interesting project called “The exploding walls project.” Our teacher decided to name it that because we’re are going beyond the walls to learn more about the outside world. My group is researching and sending awareness to other to help save Darfur ,Sudan in Africa. We came up with an idea to sell wristband similar to the live strong bands to help send more awareness to people. My job was to basically research the background of the conflicts and what started the whole thing. You will see soon enough our finishing product and I hope that you are interested in it to help us and many more send awareness to other and stop this horrible tragedy.

In San fransico zoo home to 46 penguins where “brainwashed” by penguins inported from another zoo in Ohio. Usually the 46 penguins in san fran were so lazy and catered they treated like royalty. Until the others came , they some how convinced the 46 to jump in the pool with them even if smalle in number and in size.

This post is to aware not only for parents but mostly for young children that are being brainwashed without even noticing it. One of the ways that companies technique is called building brand name loyalty. Basically this technique is that the companies are showing so many advertising to the young kids that even babies as young as six month can identify advertisements. Do you want your babies first words to be McDonald’s. One very effective technique is called “buzz or street marketing.” This technique is made just for pre-teens and teens. they find the “coolest kids” and give them there products.When other people see what the “cool” kids are wearing they would want to wear it to. news spreads around rapidly by the Internet and other resources.

I think that my group did a fair job on the children’s book. I think that we added a good enough plot,mood and tone for the children.The theme of the book was diversity wich, everybody goes through. Puttintg the book “Bongo and the Magical Balloons” was worthturnning them into digital books because there is music and effects that we couldn’t do if we did it on paper. I would maybe spend more time after school working on the musicand stuff.But overall it turn out to be good.
